What things cost.
We believe pricing should be open and easy to find, so you'll always see real numbers here. While these are starting prices and your specific project might look a little different, we'll always agree on a fixed, written quote before any work begins.
Once-off website design packages
You maintain complete ownership of the domain, the hosting account, and the code itself. Nothing is rented from us, meaning there's no proprietary platform that suddenly stops working if you decide to move on.
Two conditions apply to the five prices below, so here they are first. The Launch Promo price holds until 28 February 2027, and on all five builds it applies when hosting is taken at R250/month. The standard prices that take over on 1 March 2027 are published in full on the Launch Promo prices and 2027 terms page.

Monthly and managed website plans
You can own your site outright for the prices above, or take the Managed website plan and pay monthly. You get the exact same high-quality site either way. The only difference is how you prefer to manage your cash flow.

The Managed website plan takes a R1,500 deposit before work starts and has a fixed 12-month initial term while the site stays looked after by us. After twelve months you can carry on, switch to owning it outright, or take the files and go. Care plans are separate and have no lock-in. Whichever option you choose, the domain has been yours the whole time.

Local search work is often sold as a large monthly retainer covering everything. For a small local business, only some of it moves the needle. We would rather tell you which parts are worth doing than sell you all of them.

Where a line covers Wi-Fi, smart home, automation, cameras, servers or power, the figure is labour only. Hardware is billed at cost with the sourcing fee shown on the quote, and is never marked up. Lines marked Launch Promo hold until 28 February 2027. See the Launch Promo prices and 2027 terms.
Monthly IT and tech support care plans
For people who would rather have it looked after. We watch the updates and the backups, and you have a number to call when something goes wrong.

Sign any care plan before 28 February 2027 and the security baseline audit for up to three machines, worth R1,000, is included at no charge. It is a genuine R1,000 saving rather than a discount off a higher number. The standard R1,000 applies at any other time.
Project terms and payment options
A written quote, always
A fixed figure in Rand before anything starts. If the job turns out to be smaller than it looked, the price comes down. If it turns out bigger, work stops and you get a new number to approve.
Half on larger jobs
On once-off work, anything over R3,000 takes a 50% deposit with the balance on handover, and smaller jobs are settled when the work is done. This does not apply to the managed website plan, which takes its own R1,500 deposit and then runs monthly.
You pay the supplier
Hardware goes on your card or your EFT, straight to the supplier, and the warranty is in your name. We charge a disclosed sourcing fee for the work of specifying and ordering it, and nothing else.
EFT, debit order or cash
Monthly plans run on debit order. Unless specified otherwise, all invoices are due within seven days. Kouga Digital is not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged and none can be claimed back on our invoices.
