What we collect, and what we don't
One page, in plain language. This site has no cookies, no analytics and no advertising trackers. The only personal information we hold is what you type into the contact form and send us.
What the contact form collects
Five things, and only because you type them in: your name, your email address, your phone or WhatsApp number if you choose to give one, the topic you pick from the list, and the message you write.
Our forms run on Netlify, who host this site. Netlify records the submission along with the usual technical details a web server sees, such as the time it arrived. We do not add anything to that.
What we use it for
Replying to you. That is the whole list.
If your enquiry turns into a job, the same details become the contact record for that job, so we can quote, invoice and support you. We do not sell it, rent it, share it for marketing, or hand it to anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become work are deleted within 12 months.
If you become a client, we keep your contact details and job records for as long as you are a client and for five years afterwards, because South African tax and company record rules require it.
What this site does not do
- No cookies. The site sets none.
- No analytics, no advertising pixels, no third-party tracking scripts.
- No embedded maps, videos or social widgets that would load code from elsewhere.
- No fonts loaded from another company's servers. They are served from this site.
- No mailing list. There is nothing to unsubscribe from, because we will not add you to anything.
Asking to see it or delete it
Under the Protection of Personal Information Act you may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@kougadigital.co.za and say which. We will action it within 30 days and confirm when it is done.
Where we are still required to keep records for tax purposes, we will tell you exactly what has to stay and why, and delete the rest.
